At 27, she is the youngest White House press secretary ever – Who is Karoline Leavitt?

Karoline Leavitt made history on Tuesday as the youngest White House press secretary, stepping into the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room at just 27 years old. She emphasized the administration’s commitment to “communication and transparency.”

Before this role, Leavitt was a spokesperson for Trump’s 2024 campaign and often appeared on television. She replaced Ronald Ziegler, who held the record at 29 under Richard Nixon. In her first remarks, she highlighted Trump’s work, saying, “President Trump is hard at work fulfilling the promises that he made to the American people.”

Leavitt is also a new mother, balancing the demanding job while raising her baby, Nicholas. She admitted, “Leaving the baby every day to go to work, it does break your heart,” calling it an emotional and physical challenge.

She is married to Nicholas Riccio, a 32-year-old real estate investor. The couple met through a mutual friend at a political event and married privately after their engagement in 2023.

Donald Trump praised Leavitt as “smart, tough,” and “a highly effective communicator,” expressing confidence that she would help deliver their message as they aim to “Make America Great Again.”
